SOFTWIN, one of Romania’s largest IT software companies, has been selected as one of the 25 IT suppliers for Digital Curriculum Project initiated by BBC. With a budget of 215 Million EURO, the project will be a free, curriculum-based, online service for 5-16 year olds, designed to stimulate learning both at home and through school.
The rigouros selection process took almost a year to complete and it has involved in the second stage of the selection a challenge, where the companies bidding for the project had to create in just 2 weeks a real exemple of an educational project resembling as close as possible to UK’s curricula. SOFTWIN is the only supplier outside UK selected for this project from over 100 companies that have passed the first stage of the selection. The press release from SOFTWIN can be read here (only in Romanian). I told you, this year looks very promising.
