Romania’s presence at CEBIT 2005

CeBIT , the most widely known ICT trade fair world-wide, covering the entire spectrum of information technology, telecommunications, software and services is starting today on 9th of March. It attracts more than 6,200 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and more than 510, 000 visitors from across the globe.

Romania has a numerous participation this year, with 32 companies under its flagship and a broad presence covering Digital equipment and systems, Communications, Business processes, Banking and finance and Future parc (research). The Romanian companies present at CEBIT also comes from various cities of Romania, from Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara to lesser known locations such as Campina, Miercurea Ciuc and Targu Mures.

From CEBIT website, the Romanian companies taking part at CEBIT this year are ADCOS Romania, 4E Software, AroBS Transilvania Software, Interglob, Fortech, Wittmann, 2m computers, INDACO Systems, Prodigy Technology, All4Web Internet Solutions, SelSoft, Dot Commerce Impex, Totalsoft, Ambo Consulting, NET Brinel, GeCAD, InterAKT Online, Kondiment Solutions, misoft, Beia Consult International, DesignMySoftware, IPDEVEL, Amplusnet, Magic Solutions, Interscope, RomSoft, ISIS M3, Rumanien Gemeinschaftsstand, Alfa Global Solutions, Ecstend Software, SOFTGATE 4U and Multimedia. I am surprised to notice that AKELA Romania is missing from the list.

Several of the Romanian companies present at CEBIT offer IT outsourcing offshoring services. The numerous presence was also possible due to the support offered by the two main Romanian software industry associations ARIES and ANIS.
