Announced on ANIS site today, Romania has now the first software outsourcing cluster, Transylvania Cluster. According to their official website , “Transylvania Cluster is a group of highly specialized suppliers and service providers of Internet Technology & Communications (IT&C) solutions that cooperate to offer a wide range of skills and more brain power than you can dream of.“
The outsourcing cluster has been created as response to the increased demand of software outsourcing for large projects. The founding members of the cluster are AGS, AROBS, Net BRINEL, RECOGNOS and TRANSART, bringing together over 460 experts. The Transylvania Cluster is an open-structure for other companies as well and the relation the companies is “coopetition�: competing on small-medium scale projects and co-operation for large-scale projects.
George Roth, president & CEO of Recognos said that the cluster will open opportunities for accession large EU projects as well large-scale national projects. Currently they are engaging in a governmental projects in a foreign country.
Another positive sign for the growth of the Romanain outsourcing industry this year. This might show bigger increases ahead.
