Romania is the lowest cost provider in the nearshoring group from EMEA countries
The “Offshore & Nearshore ITO Salary Report 2004� published by NeoIT in May this year offers insights over the wages in the IT industry over the globe. The study also reveals that the wage rate takes 35-45% of the total costs in offshore outsourcing and 55-65% of costs in nearshore outsourcing. Continue reading

3rd place for a Romanian team at Windows Embedded Student Challenge
A Romanian team from University Politehnica Bucuresti took the 3rd place at Windows Embedded Student Challenge 2005 organized from 17th June to 18th June 2005 in Redmond, WA. The Romanian winning project is INVISANET (Intelligent Visualisation Aerial Network) and among the 30 finalists teams, 5 were from Romania. Continue reading
