There is an article in InformationWeek that discuss a little the issue of outsourcing to Romania. There are some interesting figures that i will remind: there are 45,000 developers in Romania and about 8,000 graduates each year. According to the article one of the reasons why outsourcing buyers select Romania, is it’s multilingual workforce. According to the article “Neverfail, which also has a support center in Scotland, had investigated opening a support center in India, “which won on cost,” Procter says. However, in the end, Romanians’ strong understanding of English and other multilingual skills won over India’s lower costs.” Article is here.
