Minority government is now on rule in Romania

Following a dispute among the coalition members (PSD vs. PDL), PSD left the government and PDL is the only party leading the government. The new government it is minority, controlling only 166 (35.3%) seats out of a total of 470 seats in the Romanian Parliament. Romania is having this year Presidential Elections scheduled for 22nd November 2009. The President is the one who is appointing the Prime-Minister in Romania so the steaks are very high for the upcoming election. The PM has to be approved by the parliament with a majority of votes.
